LIVES:

Torquay

I transitioned into triathlon after a netball injury put me on the sidelines in 2015. When I started my rehab I decided if I could get my body right I need to make the most of it - my injury gave me a whole new appreciation of having a body I could push to the limits!

I set a goal to try and get my knee injury ready to race at the Barwon Heads Triathlon in 2016 which I absolutely loved! This inspired me to start some proper training and more competitive racing, which lead to qualifying for ITU World Championships in 2018 on the Gold Coast. I had my first proper bike crash at the dismount line (...far from ideal) but loved the experience competing in the green and gold!
After spending some time living up on the Sunshine Coast in QLD, I have moved back to Torquay and enjoying being back training and racing on my home ground again. I hope to complete my first 70.3 in Geelong very shortly and test out some long course style racing.

Outside of triathlon I have two horses - Dan and Bundy, who I competing in eventing (like triathlon of horse world) and a beautiful Border Collie pup named Zelda! I work as as Osteopath in Belmont and love bringing in my passion and love of triathlon into the treatment and management of my patients.

THOUGHTS ON BECKWORTH RACING

I have loved training and learning from the team at Beckworth Racing. There is such an inviting and supportive culture Adam has created within the squad which is super important in an individual sport.

Always someone to ask for help, plenty of laughs and a great place to either start your triathlon journey or take it to the next level.
