Hi, thanks for purchasing the Triathlete's Training Journal. My name is Adam Beckworth.
Along with being the author and creator of this journal I also run a triathlon coaching business called Beckworth Racing.
I created this journal because I believe it is important to record your thoughts, feelings and training data manually. Creating a journal is a powerful way to ensure you are reflecting on your training as it occurs.

It helps you identify times when you are feeling stressed, over-worked, tired, and of course when you are feeling strong and fit.
​
This journal is to compliment such training platforms as Training Peaks and Today's Plan. These platforms are very good at recording the metrics and session data. But they fall down a little with recording actually reflective thoughts.
​
The other negative is that all their information is online. Once payment to these platforms stop you can lose your history.
​
When I was an elite triathlete competing all over the world I used a diary like this one. I wrote race plans, training notes and race analysis in it.
​
It became a ritual.
​
I believe this Training Journal is a fantastic tool for athletes wanting to truly improve their results. They want to immerse themselves into the journey, reflect on the training, document feeling and data along the way.

How To Best Use The Journal
I hope you enjoy using the Triathlete's Training Journal as much as I do. My advice on how to best use it is:

KEEP YOUR JOURNAL CLOSE BY. IN YOUR TRAINING BAG IS A GREAT IDEA. DON'T LOCK IT AWAY IN A CUPBOARD, (OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND).

JOURNAL YOUR THOUGHTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SESSION WHILST FEELINGS ARE FRESH.

DON'T HOLD BACK. THE MORE DETAIL THE BETTER THE RESOURCE THIS JOURNAL BECOMES.
